Little Soldier Bamforth here measures a wee 3" in height and has a golden mohair coverage over a metal body. His mohair has age darkened in parts and there are some tiny losses but this just adds to his Old Soldier wounded look and charm not to mention the loss of his tiny left ear which you don't notice as its loss is hidden under his tiny head bandage so he is slightly hard of hearing these days too so you might have to speak up when you talk to him !
Soldier Bamforth is fully jointed and all his joints turn and move well for him .
He has tiny metal bead eyes and his nose and mouth stitching is in perfect order too.
Soldier Bamforth is a brave little bear as he fought courageously in the Bear War and was shot and wounded in the head and that was when he lost his ear and if you look closely he carries the little bullet around his neck the very one that injured him apparently!
Our brave little Soldier is looking for a safe place to retreat to and comes with his little basket bed to rest his weary self in and of course not forgetting his patriotic sash he is wearing and tiny little flag that he likes to wave on Royal and War remembrance days.
We have also given our little Soldier here a Special Casualty of War label for you to fill in for him these have been adapted for our old wounded bears from original WW1 and WW2 Casualty of War labels that were sent with the soldiers and casualties to the hospitals.
This wonderful little Soldier bear was named after the First World War Bamforth Song cards that were very popular during the Great war and sent to sweethearts and soldiers during the war and should you adopt him he will also bring along with him his WW1 Bamforth song card too entitled 'When you come home' which has such an endearing sentiment and comliments his plight for a Loving home now perfectly too dont you think? .

She is a very pretty and sweet faced Chiltern bear dating to c1930/40 .
The Duchess of Chiltern measures 17" in height, and is a very graceful looking bear and it is obvious too that her good looks have been inherited to her down the Chiltern ancestry line where it is well known that they are always fine and beautiful looking bears.
She has replacement amber glass eyes which suit her perfectly as her eyesight had been failing her for a while and she couldn't bear the thought of not been able to ever read and write again so an eye operation at the local cottage hospital was arranged privately for her by the Duke of Chiltern and she is very pleased with having regained perfect eyes sight again!
The Duchess of Chiltern is a five-way jointed Chiltern bear and all her joints turn and move well for her which is a good thing when you have so many staircases in Chiltern House to go up and down not to mention the dances and balls that are held regularly there too and she does like dressing up and dancing !
The Duchess of Chiltern has retained her original nose and mouth stitching perfectly .
Her paw pads are all covered in their original beige cotton linen cloth material and are in good order.
She has just had a few very tiny and neat stitches added to her right paw pad where the cotton material meets the mohair at the wrist but this nothing worrying or detrimental to her.
The Duchess has retained all of her original four black claw stitches to her paw pads and all four to her feet too.
This lovely bear is a lovely cuddle of a Chiltern bear she is stuffed softly but firmly with kapok to her body and limbs and wood wool to her head .
She used to squeak once upon a time when her tummy was gently squeezed but these days she is a very quiet and serene Duchess .
The Very Beautiful Duchess of Chiltern has a fair covering all over over of her golden coloured mohair with some areas of loss and thinning in parts which is mainly to the back of her .
The Duchess is looking for a smaller home to retire to as she plan to give it to the younger members of the Chiltern bear family as it is getting a little too big for her.
Should you be able to accommodate The Duchess of Chiltern she really is a very lovely bear and will come dressed to yours in her antique white cotton dress with pretty headband with Vintage pearl pin in it . Around her shoulders is a Antique handmade Irish lace shawl gifted to her by a good Friend in Cork and pinned to it a pretty sparkling vintage paste brooch .
She will also bring her christening honey spoon which is hanging around her neck which she inherited from her mother.
We feel sure that the Duchess of Chiltern will find a loving home and perhaps some of he distant Chiltern relatives living there too perhaps?

He is a Second World War time Old bear dating to C1940 and like many old bears of that time he was loved and hugged and squeezed that little bit more tightly than the decade before !
He travelled on a train with his young Master when he was evacuated from the city to a safer home in the countryside.
Morrison Junior was named after the Morrison air raid shelter that was in his home back home that he had climbed into on a few nights when the air raid siren went off . It was all very exciting for him but also a rather scary too when you could hear the bombs falling outside so he was rather relieved to get on the train with his Young Master and head off to the countryside !
Morrison Junior measures 19" in height and is stuffed softly with kapok to his body and limbs.
His head is stuffed with wood wool and Happy Old bear memories .
His stuffing has shifted from the tops of both arms from being carried around and settled a little further down in his arms.
Morrison Junior has just a light covering left of blonde mohair on his body.
His face has had most of its mohair kissed away over the years but we can forgive this old Wartime bear for that can't we?
He is a five way jointed old bear and all his joints turn and move reasonably well for him .
His nose and mouth stitching is historic to him and makes him look a little serious when you look at him one way and sad another way so perhaps when he finds s loving home Morrison Junior will feel a happier bear again!
Morrison Junior's paw pads are all covered in their original cotton cloth material and are in fair order. However at the wrists of each paw where the cotton material meets the mohair he as had quite a few repair stitches here all probably a result from being carried and dragged around by his paws bless him!
Morrison comes dressed in his War time 1940s vest with Patriotic ribbon pinned to it and his Special Old bear evacuee tag for your to fill in for him.
He is also wearing his 1940s Genuine War time Utility knitted green hat and inside it you will see it is bearing the Special Utility clothing label inside which was used specifically during the War years and for a while after too.
Pinned to his hat is a Vintage badge too which Morrison bought with a 1d once at a Jumble sale .
This Old War time brave bear really does deserve a Loving Peaceful home now that he is in his elder bear years and we hope in turn when we do it brings his bear smile back!
