GREAT AUNT HENRIETTA - A C1930 AMERICAN BEAR
She lived the high life for a bear really with endless tea parties , picnics , and dances to go to not forgetting all the umpteen changes of clothes and daily brushes and combs of her golden mohair! ..... and when we look very closely around and near to her mouth stitching there is the faintest light pink mark where possibly a light kiss of lipstick might just have touched her lips on one dressing up day but it is so hard to see and tell that its probably just a passing happy memory now for Great Aunt Henrietta in her younger bear days.
Great Aunt Henrietta measures 19" in height and is rather typical of American bears with her short clipped golden yellow mohair although poor Old Henrietta hasn't much left these days its more of a light dusting like the powder on the puff to your nose!
She also has the typical long barrel shaped body that the American bears tend to have and straight arms and legs .
Great Aunt Henrietta has retained her original tiny amber and black glass eyes which are closely set to the top sides of the muzzle, which again is another characteristic of American bears.
Once upon a time Henrietta used to growl but these days she is just a quiet old Lady bear and all you can hear is her tilt growler clunking around in her tum when she is tilted.
In her retirement years in the nursery when she was getting a bit too old for partying and dancing she was given a more restful role in the house of caring for the little bears and letting them sit on her lap and reading them bear stories and of course teaching them all how to be good and pleasant natured little bears !
Henrietta has retained her original nose and mouth stitching and has kept her a few of her black claw stitches to her paws with a couple lost along the way but has lost of her black claw stitches to her feet.
All of her paw pads have been recovered many moons ago and she has had a couple of neat stitches and discreet repairs given to her by a loving nurse at some time in her life but nothing major or worrying to her.
Great Aunt Henrietta is now at that stage in her bear life when she wants a quieter more restful time and is hoping to find a nice retirement home for Old bears.
Should you invite to come and live with you She comes dressed in her Sunday best outfit of a antique pink dress and bonnet and wearing her vintage style necklace

LITTLE SQUIRT - A SWEET LITTLE , NOSEY OLD BEAR C1920
For a little bear he is very brave and courageous and once he puts his Great outdoors woolly hat on his head and buttons up his jacket he is ready to set off on a New adventure.
I will have to whisper this now to you so as not to upset Little Squirt ....but he does have rather a prominent nose for a little bear which tends to sticks upwards in the air somewhat , however rest assured he is not a snooty little bears but it does make him look rather special and distinguished as old bears go and it helps when its needed for sniffing out adventure and honey of course !
Because Little Squirt is lacking in mohair he is causing us a bit of a mystery presently to positively identify who his maker is on first sight I thought he had a bit of a look of a farnell bear or possibly even French but regardless of that and who he might be really is one special , cute little chap!
He measures a dinky little 11" and is a five way jointed little fellow. His leg joints tend to move a little easier than his arms but then thas probably because of all the walking expeditions he goes on!
Poor Little Squirt has lost all of his mohair over the years from all the love he once used to receive , hence nowadays he needs his little woolly jacket and hat to keep him warm.
This cute little bear has had the misfortune in his little bears life to need life saving surgery on his tummy around his press squeaker and he has been lovingly and carefully given a very neat patch insert repair at some time.
However he was a strong little bear and pulled through remarkably after his operation and is now a strong little bear again thankfully.
Little Squirt is stuffed with wood wool and has his original tiny amber painted back glass eyes which show a few losses of paint.
He has a tiny little hump on the back of his neck and quite prominent cupped ears that sit on the side of his head which he tends to keep under his woolly hat because he doesn't like having fun poked at him about having big ears ....bless him!
Little Squirt has set us a challenge which is to help find him a Forever home with some little bear pals that also have a taste for bear adventures now for Little Squirt this could be a tall order perhaps or what do you think?

BERTIE BEESKNEES- A CHILTERN BEAR C1930
They have even made him a honorary member of the Busy Bees club for all the honey collecting he has done for them over the years and he now wears his badge with pride on his dungarees whenever he is on bee duty with them!
Bertie Beesknees is a cute, cheerful looking 16" Chiltern bear dating to C1930.
This lovely little bear is stuffed with a mixture wood wool and kapok with wood wool to his head and a mixture to his body and limbs.
He has a pretty good coverage all over of blonde coloured mohair with perhaps just the lightest hint of thinning in places but nothing noticeable or detrimental really.
Bertie BeesKnees has retained his original mouth and nose stitching perfectly.
Bertie Beesknees has amber glass eyes with black pupils and we believe that possibly one of his eyes could be a later replacement but it is quite hard to tell them apart really as to which one it is!
This little bear has retained perfectly his original cotton cloth covered paw pads with no holes or damage and all his black claw stitches too!
He is a quiet little old bear too due to the fact that his press squeaker in his tummy is all pooped out but this doesn't bother him really because Berties cheerful face speaks volumes for him!
Bertie comes handsomely dressed in his hand knitted rust coloured dungarees and not forgetting wearing of course His beloved Busy Bees badge !
Perhaps you have a love for honey like Bertie Bees Knees too and even better a love for him also ?-now that really would be Bear Heaven for this little bear!

LETTIE A CHILTERN TYPE OLD BEAR C1930
She has such a wonderful aura of serenity and gentleness whenever you look at her and she really is a bear that just melts your heart when you do !
Lettie has a look of the early Chiltern bears about her especially with her nose and mouth stitching style and spoon shaped paws.
This lovely old lady measures 23" and she is stuffed solidly with woodwool to her body, limbs and legs.
She has quite a long firm body and inside her tummy you can hear her non working tilt growler clunking around when she is tilted.
Lettie is quite a character really and has obviously been well loved and hugged throughout her bear years but she is a strong old girl!
She has a light dusting of light blonde mohair all over her really with general thinning and little patches of bareness in parts but all to be expected really when you are a Grand old lady bear of over eighty years!
Because she has endured rather a lot of love over the years which isn't surprising when you are as pretty as her all her joints tend to swing a bit and her head nods from side to side and forward and backward but this doesn't bother her in the slightest really and just adds to her sweet loveliness and charm!
She has kept some and lost some of her black claw stitches to her paws and foot pads.
Lettie's foot pads have been recovered in material at some time in her life but her paw pads are her original coverings.
She has had a couple of loving mummy neat and tiny repair stitches to both wrists near to where the material joins the mohair at the wrist, but this is quite hard to see and detect.
Being a lady of loveliness Lettie loves prettiness and lace and comes dressed in her antique white cotton and lace trimmed dress which like her has had a few neat repairs by her owners over the years but to her its perfect and wearing her favourite antique pearl necklace .Now all she needs now is a home!...........any takers for Lettie?

LILIAS LIDDICOAT A C1930 CHAD VALLEY BEAR
She certainly wasn't born with a gilded honey spoon in her mouth either but she does have a Metal Chad valley button in her ear making her a little more Special so to speak !
Lilias Liddicoat dates to C1930 and she measures 14" high.
She is softly stuffed with a kapok type filling in her body and limbs and in her head too with a little woodwool in her muzzle.
She is a bear of Great well loved character , she has just a light sprinkling left these days of blonde coloured mohair and at some time in her life she has lost her original eyes and someone has kindly given her black wooden shoe buttons as replacements .
Lilias has the most adorable well loved face too with her broad happy smile . A few of her original nose stitches have been kissed away but we can forgive a bear for being loved Once upon a time cant we?
Her paw pads are all cotton cloth covered and show some signs of age and wear. Her feet are card lined and the cotton cloth material has some holes and wear but no leakage and everything is held quite securely with no worries or concerns for her.
She is a quiet little bear these days so you wont hear a peep out of because her press squeaker in her tummy is all pooped out but her little happy smiling face speaks volumes for her instead!
Lilias Liddicoat is rather an old fashioned bear with good old fashioned values . She is a stickler for Good manners ,punctuality and looking smart and tidy!
Lilias herself is seldom seen without her hat and coat on and a brooch pinned to it - and today is no exception with a cute Vintage Rabbit brooch pinned to it .
But after saying all that Lilias Liddicoat really is a lovely natured old bear and she makes bear friends very easily, so if she were to come and live in your bear hug it would indeed be very happy and harmonious hug for sure!

TRUFFLE - A BROWN CHILTERN BEAR
This lovely old chocolate brown coloured Chiltern bear dates to the 1930's and is a bear with his colour too that you don't see too often .
Truffle has a pretty good coverage all over really of his rich brown alpaca and wool coverage with naturally some general thinning in parts showing from all the love and hugs he would obviously of received once upon a time being such a handsome looking bear .
The thinning to his alpaca and wool coverage is mainly visible on the tip of both of his feet , just above his nose stitching on his muzzle area above his left eye and a wee bit to the tops of his legs but all in all nothing too noticeable really as you will see when you look at his photographs.
Truffle measures 18" tall and is stuffed firmly but softly with kapok to his body and limbs and wood -wool to his head.
He has also retained some of his original black claw stitches - three to his left foot, three to his left paw pad and two to his right paw pad.
He is a five-way jointed old bear and all his joints move .
Truffle has been given later replacement glass eyes but they seem to suit him perfectly.
This Gorgeous Old boy has kept his original black nose stitching too which has faded slightly over the years possibly from all those gentle kisses on his nose and he also has his original mouth stitching too !
Truffle really is a very lovely old Chocolate brown Chiltern bear and he is definitely a bear that you wont see too often!
