EMMIE A C1950 PEDIGREE BEAR
Emmie was named after the 'Emerald Isles' , the poetic name given to Ireland because of all the beautiful green countryside and because she is a Pedigree toys bear and the production was moved from Merton in England to Ireland in 1955 Emmie is very probably part Irish .
Emmie is a lovely Pedigree toys bear, she has little bells inside her ears so when she is gently shaken you will hear a soft soothing ting-a-ling sound and she has a tilt growler that also works inside her tummy although it is a little temperamental at times, but we just put it down to that Emmie is far too gentle natured to ever want to growl really!
She measures 16" and is a lovely unusual soft caramel colour , her mohair is quite long and fluffy and she has a fair covering of mohair all over really but Emmie does have some thinning and a little bareness in parts but nothing too much and to hide her modesty she always like to wear her dress!
She has her original amber and black plastic safety eyes and has her black nose and mouth stitching which we believe is original to her.
Emmies paw pads are all covered in their original brown velvet material and apart from a little surface rubbing and loss to the velvet pile in parts revealing a little of the brown cotton backing material they are all in good order with no holes in any of them.
Emmie still has a little part of her original blue and white Pedigree toys label still stitched into her back seam .
Our Lovely Emmie is hoping to find and perhaps join part of her Pedigree family in England that she left behind when she went to Ireland , we hope that dear Emmie has the luck of the Irish too with her in finding them don't you.......if you can help Emmie here please let us know ?
Emmie comes prettily dressed in her dress with vintage style necklace and matching ribbon headband.

JAZZY - A C1930 /40 MERRYTHOUGHT BEAR
He loves playing both the trumpet and the horn although not together at the same that is if you can understand as that would be a bit hard for a little old bear and he doesn't have that much puff in him seeing as he his getting on a bit now in bears years!
Jazzy is a lovely old Merrythought bear who has obviously been well loved and treasured over the years .
He has had both of his paw pads and foot pads covered in suede material a long time ago in order to help preserve them but also presumably so he could keep on playing the trumpet and the horn in the band!
Jazzy has had a couple of neat and discreet stitches added to the front of his right leg around the ankle area, which are really quite hard to see and also in the same place on his left leg too. Ankles can be a bit of a problem when you are getting older as anyone will tell you , but it doesn't seem to bother or hinder Jazzy here and as we said they are very hard to see!
Jazzy measures 18" tall and is softly but firmly stuffed throughout with kapok to his body and limbs with a mixture of kapok and a little wood wool in his head.
He his a five- way jointed bear his arms and legs all move well for him but his head no longer turns because a little securing stitch has been added but this is neither concerning or worrying to Jazzy.
He has amber and black glass eyes which are probably original to him and he has retained most of his original horizontal stitched nose with what looks like two later stitches added .
As to his mohair blonde coverage that he once had well as you can see that is almost long gone with the most being left these days on his legs front and back, but Jazzy isn't bothered as long as he can put his best velvet band jacket on with all its gold braid and his vintage lapel badge he's as happy as an old bear can possibly be without a loving home!
Jazzy would love to find a forever home where some other musical minded bears are too and perhaps they could all set up a new Jazzy band?
If anyone know of such a bear hug needed a band leader , well Jazzy here could just be the bear that you are looking for?

JULIETTE - AN ADORABLEY SWEET 1930's BEAR
Bless her , this old girl does look a little lost and tearful doesn't she ? that is because she has been on her own now for quite a few years in a dark and lonely cupboard and is not quite used to seeing the light of day again!
She measures 16" in height and has just a light coverage left of golden coloured mohair on her body these days with general thinning and losses in parts with the most losses being to the backs of her arms and the back of her head and in the centre of her tummy.
Juliette has her original clear glass eyes which have just small tiny traces of the original rust brown coloured paint behind left on them.
As to her maker and country of origin I have to say I am not definite here but I lean more towards her being more French than English and her vertical nose stitching with longer outer stitches and downward mouth stitching and clear glass eyes help to reassure this even more to me but I could be wrong !
Her paw pads are all covered in their original cotton cloth material and have perhaps been of an oil cloth type of material which has been rubbed away over the passing years.
Juliette is stuffed from head to paw firmly with wood wool and has no leakages or holes to worry about.
Her press squeaker in her tummy is all pooped out and nolonger works but then her adorable little face speaks volumes for her and then we might not fully understand her if she spoke all in French too!
Juliette comes dressed how she came to us in her original lilac cotton dress with hand embroidered little dog on the front of it and we have given her a little pink and lilac wooden heart to match her sweetness and ribbons and a silk rose pin brooch to give to her new owner as a very special Thankyou!

SOLDIER HERO ABEL - A POOR OLD BEAR C1920
He really has been in the Wars and he has lost an arm on the battlefield of a bears life along with other little battle scars his poor old body has received from various conflicts during his Great bear years.
However despite all his injuries Soldier Abel is still here to tell the tale of how he fought for his country and fellow bears !
Wonderful Soldier Abel dates to C1920 and measures 16" in height, he is stuffed entirely with wood wool .
Bless him where do we start? ....well apart from missing his left arm he was blinded by another attack and at some time many years ago he was given some stitches for his new eyes along with wooden boot buttons so he could see again!
He hasn't even a tuft of mohair left on his battled body to keep him warm so wears a War time vest from the Second World War which is stamped with the utility clothing stamps of that time!
His nose and mouth stitches have been kissed away and his paw and foot pads have all been recovered in material.
Soldier Abel has had two patches of surgery given to his head after one bad conflict , one at the back and one on the left side, which probably occurred at the same time as losing his left arm.
This Wonderful Old bear has seen many of his bears comrades fall over the years but he has tried to remain strong despite all of his injuries and would just love a caring home to live out his final bear years happily bless him!
Soldier Abel comes dressed in Wartime vest proudly decorated with a wartime rosette and paper flag day pin .
Who will love and look after Poor Old Abel now we wonder ?

MISS MARSHMELLOW - C1940/50 PINK BEAR
She has rather a bit of a 'Mouse' ish ' Sweet and Gentle looking face with a hint of timidness to her especially as her head tends to slump forward a little which all just adds to her endearing looks and charm don't you think?
We are not quite sure of Miss Marshmellow's country of birth but we feel she could very possibly be a little German girl bear.
She measures a slumpy 23" and is stuffed softly with kapok to her arms and legs . Her tummy is stuffed with a mixture of wood wool and kapok .
Her head is stuffed with woodwool.
This lovely Old bear has retained her original nose and mouth stitching . Her oval shaped nose is horizontally stitched.
Her left ear has been re-secured on with a couple of neat and tidy stitches for her at some time in her life by a loving caring mummy.
Being a little on the timid side Miss Marshmallow doesn't make much noise especially as her tilt growler in her tummy doesn't make a sound any more these days!
Her barer more noticeable patches are on her body at the front especially near to her neck area but this is quite hidden really because her head tends to slump forward due to the stuffing shifting at the top of the neck area and settling a little further down in her chest.
She also has some barer patches more visible at the back again near to to the neck area.
Miss Marshmellow's paw pads have all been very neatly and carefully recovered in creamy white coloured felt for her at some time in her life.
She has retained all five of her original black claw stitches to her feet and has four original claw claw stitches on one paw and and three on the other.
We are not sure if her amber and black glass eyes are original to her but they suit her perfectly anyway.
She is a five-way jointed bear and all her joints move well for her.
She comes dressed in pretty pink Vintage dress from the 1950's and to add that final little touch of loveliness to her we have given her a pretty floral ribbon headband !
MISS MARSHMELLOW IS BOUND TO TEMPT AND BREAK A FEW HEARTS WE THINK WITH HER LOVELINESS!!

ROSIE A GORGEOUS HUG OF A CHAD VALLEY BEAR 1950
Rosie really is a top class looking Chad valley bear of this period and in very beautiful condition too.
She measures a very cuddlesome 27" and is stuffed firmly with a sot kapok type filling.
Her short blonde coloured mohair is in lovely clean condition with no bare patches or losses to it .
Rosie Loves a garden a full of roses and spends hours pruning and tending to her favourite blooms in the Summertime and is quite sad in the Winter when they are all fast asleep , but come the Spring time Rosie is filled with delight when her roses start to waken ready for growing again .
Rosie is a five way jointed bear and all her joints move very well for her.
She also has her original orange/amber coloured a plastic safety eyes with black pupils.
When you look at Rosie's pretty face you can she is a real beauty and because beauty is not just fur deep you just know that she has a very loving ,kind nature too!
Rosie's paw pads are all covered in their original dark brown velvet and are in beautiful condition with no damage to any of them.
Her paw pads have retained perfectly too their original black claw stitches.
Her feet pads are card lined under the velvet coverings and again have retained their original three black claw stitches perfectly .
Rosie used to growl Once upon a time in her younger bear days when she was tilted but nolonger growls these days in her senior years.
This very Beautiful old bear bear would love to find a loving home again and she would be in full bloom herself if there were some roses in the garden there too !!

LITTLE THRIS - AN AMERICAN BEAR C1920/30
He has endured a few campaigns and Wars in his life and is quite a little soldier really with a few old War wounds and battle scars to prove it all too!
Little Thris is an American stick bear and he has the characteristic long tall , straight body with long straight limbs.
He is also metal pin-jointed on his limbs and on the top of his legs an old button has been used to probably add strength to his pin joints here.
He measures just 11" and a dot and is such a cute wee fella of a bear and we just love his expression on his face too here at Once upon a time bears a touch of bewilderment and glumness but this could all change for him once he finds a forever loving home we are sure !
All of his paw pads to his arms and feet have been neatly and lovingly recovered for him many moons ago from early bearhood Wars and battles.
He is stuffed firmly and solidly throughout with woodwool and like many an old soldier standing to attention and sitting straight backed is a Must and this comes naturally too to Little Thris!
His little eyes which are original sit flatly on his forehead and he has just a few stitches left of his horizontally stitched nose as most have been kissed away over the years and he has a little of his mouth stitching just present too.
Little Thris has Jolly Good hearing still and his ears are set into his head again another characteristic of American bears.
He comes dressed how he came to us in his little crochet worked top with Patriotic rosette proudly pinned to it.
